This was after he failed to support his two children.

The case had been filed by his ex-wife Gladys Jeruto.

Kibet was arrested on Wednesday in Ongata Rongai, Nakuru County after eluding from the police for four months.

He spent the night at the Nakuru police station before taken to court.

After being arraigned in court, Kibet’s lawyer said that Kibet had no source on income and therefore that was the reason why he couldn’t support his children financially.

Despite that, Nakuru Principal Magistrate Kipkurui made the ruling that Kibet had to be confined at GK prisons.

Magistrate Kipkurui further said in his ruling that Gladys Jeruto was expected to tabulate the exact sum owned by Kibet and served upon the judgement data within three days.

The case will be mentioned on 26th of September to confirm compliance of the order given by the court.
