Renowned Kenyan artist Bahati Kioko recently paid a heartfelt tribute to his late stepmother during her farewell.
Bahati shared moments from the funeral on social media, attending the somber occasion with his wife, Diana Marua.
The post included photos and a video recap featuring their arrival at the burial site, a glimpse of the mourners, and Bahati standing by the casket delivering his tribute.
Taking to his Instagram account, the artist expressed his grief.
“It’s been a sad day. It is still unbelievable that you are gone,” alongside broken heart emojis.
He added,
“It was a painful goodbye to the woman that my dad loved last. Our mum has gone to be with the Lord. #RIP Mama Benja.

During his eulogy, Bahati recalled his final conversation with his stepmother. Just weeks before her passing, he had promised to help her son secure a job in the city, a gesture that now holds even greater emotional significance.
