First daughter Charlene Ruto has responded to a Kenyan calling for her father’s resignation following recent developments in the country

Taking to her X  account, the first daughter responded to a comment that noted that Kenyans are just trying to have her father President Ruto out of the State House

“We just trying to have Ruto & you out of state house. Nothing personal.”

According to her response, Ruto had no plans of resigning soon despite pressure from a section of the population that he should step down.

“He will stay in the State House. Nothing personal.’’

There were further allegations in the comment section that her organisation was funded by Kenyans eyeing favours from her father.

According to her, nobody knew where she acquired the funds to run her organisation.

Setting  the record straight, Charlene stated that she would still be able to run her organisation even if Ruto were not the President.

“You have no clue about the people and organizations who support me. If my father wasn’t President, I would be.’’

All this criticism started after the first daughter flagged a post alleging that she had been appointed to a government position by President Ruto which claimed she was to be the chairperson of the National Mining Corporation for 3 years.

According to her, she could not have been appointed to that ministry since the alleged position did not fall under her interests.

“Of all the things, mining? Not even youth? Or agriculture? Just so that you know it is fake! I didn’t wait for anyone to give me an appointment or position, I am creating my path Plus…my name is Chelagat, not Chelangat.”

The gazette notice that had  gone viral all over the social media turned out to be fake when the ministry clarified the matter.
