Bus carrying several Tanzania MPs has been involved in a road accident on December 6th, 2024.
The news was confirmed by Speaker Moses Wetangula.
One bus carrying some of our colleagues from Tanzania was involved in an accident. We have no fatalities, but some injuries.

The bus collided with an oncoming lorry.
The incident was reportedly to have occurred enroute to Mombasa.
The Tanzania Members of Parliament were on their way to the East African Community LegislativeGames which they were scheduled to participate.
According to the reports, 16 MPs got injured following the fatal accident which Moses Wetangula said had occurred in the Mbade area in Kongwa District, Dodoma Region, Tanzania.
While narrating the incident, the Speaker further said that those injured in the accident were taken to Benjamin Mkapa Hospital in Dodoma where they are receiving medical attention.
The EALA games will officially open on Saturday 7th December, at Mama Ngina Waterfront, with President William Ruto presiding over the event.
The games are scheduled to run till 18th December 2024.
The Parliaments of Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, DRC Congo, the Republic of South Sudan and the Republic of Somalia are all expected to be in attendance.
