IG Kanja Pledges To Honour Court Summons In Mlolongo Three Abduction Case

Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja has promised to honor court summons on the three mysterious disappearances of three men. This he announced on Tuesday at Diani Kwale County. The three men were allegedly abducted on 16th December 2024. The three men namely Justus Mutumwa, Martin Mwau and Karani Muema were reportedly abducted in Mlolongo, Machakos County alongside one abductee Stephen Mbisi. The IG had ignored the court summons for some days which had been ordered by two different judges alongside the DCI boss Amin Mohammed. There is no problem with honoring court summons, I will arrive by myself, and I will say the things I am saying here. IG Douglas said without explaining of when he plans to honor the court summons. The IG added that investigations are at advanced levels regarding all the reported cases of missing persons. Whoever will be held responsible should be arrested and taken to court and be arraigned according to the law. That is where we are and by the time we arrest them, we will inform all of you. IG Kanja further said. The Inspector General also informed that the NPS is working on digitizing its services so as to curb corruption and improve service delivery.

CS Muturi Misses Cabinet Meeting Amid Rising Fallout

Public Service Cabinet Secretary (CS) Justin Muturi did not show up in Tuesday\’s cabinet meeting. The Cabinet Meeting was held at the Kakamega State Lodge in Kakamega County on 21st January 2025. Muturi was seen to be absent as President William Ruto met his other 22 Cabinet Secretaries. This marked the first Cabinet meeting of 2025. The CS on the other hand did not directly address his absence. When Muturi was asked about his absence from the cabinets meeting, he replied by stating that clarification can be confirmed from the Cabinet Secretary Mercy Wanjau. Please confirm from the secretary to the cabinet……. Muturi stated. His absence sparked a lot of debate online especially due to his recent accusations against the government. The CS had demanded answers regarding the abduction of his son in June 2024 during the Anti-Finance Bill protest. I have personally suffered as my son was abducted leaving my family in turmoil. I\’ve not gotten any answers as to why my son was abducted, held incommunicado and nobody gave any reasons for that abduction. Muturi said. This caused threats among political leaders such as Parliament Majority leader Osoro who warned him that he could face impeachment if he did not apologize to the Head of State. Mudavadi Urges Gachagua To Stop Mourning And Move On

Kenya Prime Cabinet Secretary (CS) Musalia Mudavadi has challenged former DP Rigathi Gachagua for his persistence trolls against the government. This he spoke at a roadside rally in Kakamega County on Monday 22nd January 2025. The CS urged Gachagua to slow down his fury against the government and instead focus on himself and his career interests. The former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua was impeached under 11 grounds. Because of his impeachment, Gachagua can no longer hold any public office according to the laws. If somebody was mourning, then he has finished the mourning. The mourning period is over. Kenya must move on; it is not there to listen to you every other day. We must develop the country and that is where President Ruto is taking us. The law says that if you have been impeached you cannot have public office even a nyumba kumi (village elder) The Prime CS stated as he urged Gachagua to move forward and Kenyans not to try to be deceived by someone who can no longer hold office. Since his impeachment, Gachagua has rallied most of his supporters in Mt. Kenya region not to give President Ruto electoral votes in the 2027 General election.

Senators Were Offered Ksh 10M To Impeach Gachagua, Okiya Omtatah

Busia Senator Okiya Omtatah has alleged that senators were bribed to impeach former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua. This he said in Oga Obinna show. Senator Omtatah said that he was offered 10M. I was offered 10M. They paid a deposit of 7M to people and 3M after the voting. The Busia Senator said as he claimed that he refused the 10M. Omtatah supported his point by arguing that the law is very clear that the procedure for impeaching the President shall apply to the deputy president with necessary amendments. He therefore stated that the National Assembly did not get all the necessary amendments to impeach Gachagua since a Vice President does not enjoy immunity from the prosecution that\’s available for the president under article 143 of the constitution. The Makueni County Executive Committee Member (ECM) for trade, marketing, culture and tourism Dr. Sonia Nzilani has been suspended for 45 days after insinuating that menstruating women attract crocodiles. The Makueni Governor Mutula Kilonzo Jr made the decision after public outrage made in response to the statements made by Nzilani. This emerged during the funeral of 17-year-old girl who lost her life after being attacked by a crocodile while she was fetching water from Athi River in Kithaayoni, Kathonzweni Subcounty. According to Dr. Nzilani during the burial ceremony on Friday, she suggested that crocodiles had attacked the girl simply because she was menstruating claiming that crocodiles are drawn to the scent of menstruating women. This created attention to many locals who found the comments to insensitive given the importance of promoting accurate information about menstrual health and wildlife safety. In response to the backlash, Deputy Governor Lucy Mulili issued a statement on Monday 20th January 2025. As a government that prides itself on upholding the dignity of all citizens, we offer our unreserved apologies for the remarks made by Mrs. Nzilani to the people of Makueni County and Kenya at large. Donald Trump has ordered for the recognition of only two sexes, male and female. This he ordered on Monday 20th January 2025 as soon as he became the President of the United States of America. He also ordered an end to certain policies aimed at promoting racial equity and protecting rights for LGBTQ+ people. Among the orders to be pushed through included the government to use the term \’sex\’ and not \’gender\’ in identification documents issued by government such as passports and visas based on individuals\’ classification as either male or female. Mathew Nyamlori, The Man Who Took KCPE Nine Times, Succumbs To Cancer

Kenyan man Mathew Nyamlori who gained recognition for his persistent after sitting for the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) nine times has died. He died on Monday 20th January 2024. The 40-year-old who was undergoing treatment at Nairobi hospital was suffering from gastric cancer since 2022 and succumbed to stage 3 cancer. I started having difficulty swallowing food. The doctors initially said it was H. Pylori. However, it was progressed, and I decided to undergo an endoscopy. I was subjected to numerous tests, and it was then that I was diagnosed with cancer. Nyamlori shared in a past interview. Nyamlori was known for his education mindset since he had done nine KCPE\’s and couldn\’t push forward to High school due to financial difficulties and other challenges as well. His first attempt was in 1998 where he scored 478 marks and was admitted to Kabianga High School but couldn\’t afford fees and had no hope of joining High School. Nyamlori still returned to class eight at Rongo Primary school in 1999 where he scored 559 marks and secured an admission at Kanga High school but his stay at the school was cut short due to financial difficulties. This forced him to drop out and start doing jobs in order to have an income. Later on, he enrolled at Kitere Primary school and scored 387 marks where he received an admission letter to Rapogi High school but couldn\’t secure funding for his fees again making him to score another impressive 437 marks at Rangwe Primary school where he got admitted to Maseno High school. In 2007 Nyamlori scored 397 marks and was admitted at Maranda High School whereby the following year he scored 401 marks and at Aldo Rebby Academy and was admitted to Kapsabet High school. He went to Agape academy in 2010 where he scored 401 marks and rejoined Maranda High School before he joined Oriri Primary School and scored 403 marks which he received an admission letter to Nairobi school where he scored B+ with 71 points under the courtesy of Equity Banks Wings to Fly program and got admitted to Kenyatta University to pursue a bachelor\’s degree in public policy and administration.
