Airtel has ended the free TV streaming up.
The free streaming up was initially competing with Netflix and Showmax which was available on both Android and iOS.
The apps content had been available in countries like Nigeria, Ghana, and Kenya where one only needed Airtel Sim Card and the customers needed to pay anything for the services.
A lot of people had started enjoying the app since it allowed navigation between content while already playing something else.
They also added that they happy with the app since the app had requests to access their contacts but when they denied the request, the app still worked.
The app was good since the signup process was simple the only problem was that the app could only be streamed with Airtel Data.
Free TV recently released a statement that they were discontinuing the app.
In the statement, they said that they wished to inform all Airtel Networks Kenya Limited customers that Airtel TV services were discontinued on 30th September 2024.
