Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has celebrated his birthday in a special way today.
His birthday which coincided with Mazingira Day,he received a flood of goodwill from Kenyans via Mpesa, amounting to a staggering 370k.
Taking to his socials , he expressed his gratitude to Kenyans who sent something via his mpesa account.
“A big thank you to all Kenyans who are sending me Mpesa for my birthday today.”
The politician also went ahead to ask Kenyans to hold off on sending more money, highlighting the financial hardships many are facing.
“We are at 370K so far. I suggest you stop, please. That money, let it do something else. I really feel what you are going through as a Kenyan. God bless you all.’’
Babu Owino has been in the public spotlight this week after missing DP Gachagua’s impeachment.
Something that he has addressed by stating that he had important things to deal with in his constituency.
He seems to be among the most loved politicians in Kenya with many supporting him, some are not even under his constituency.
