The people’s choice award has issued an official statement hours after disappointing their contestants and attendees.
The People’s Choice Award organizers had failed to attend the event despite the attendees arriving on time.
They had waited for allegedly four hours before they were told that the event was cancelled which left them angry and disappointed.

We deeply regret to announce that the planned Award Gala this evening did not take place due to circumstances beyond our control. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and disappointment cause to all our attendees. Despite the setback, we reaffirm our commitment to honoring all cash disbursements earned through contestant votes. As promised, these disbursements will be processed and delivered promptly, in line with the standard we set during our first and second editions.
They said in a statement on their Instagram account.
Full tickets will be refunded, and prize deliveries will be done personally as each contestant will be contacted and there will be door-to-door delivery of prizes.
They also extended heartfelt apologies to their esteemed partners such as Madfun, Motorhub and Chicken Inn.
