National Assembly’s Speaker Moses Wetangula’s Mother has passed on.
The deceased Anne Nanyama is also the mother of Westlands MP Tim Wanyonyi.
The reports about her death were confirmed on Friday 20th December 2024.

Moses Wetangula became the speaker of the National Assembly in 2022 while his brother first became MP in 2017 and fought for the same seat in 2022.
Despite her death, she has left a remarkable future for his children being they are well known in the society.
The Speaker of the Senate, Hon. Amason Kingi sent his deepest condolences on his X account praying for God to grant them the fortitude and grace to bear Khukhu’s departure.
In her demise, Khukhu leaves behind an indelible mark in our society as the matriarch family that has given this country great leaders, and a mentor to many who lived, interacted and walked with her through life.

He added that the demise has plunged the Parliament of Kenya and indeed, the entire country into deep mourning.
Other leaders are also mourning her death and the remarkable journey she has made on earth.
The cause of death and burial date is yet to be known.
