Comedian Njugush: “Brands often feel my rate card is too expensive”

Digital Content creator and comedian Njugush has recently revealed that many brands and clients often complain that his rate card is too pricey when approaching him for influencer and endorsement deals. Njugush however defends his rates stating that they are carefully calculated based on factors such as data, research, and his ability to meet client expectations. Njugush  moreover said his rates reflect the value he brings to a brand, emphasizing that his extensive experience in the industry has taught him when to charge premium rates and when to be more flexible.  He also highlighted that he initially did many free jobs before establishing himself. “Brands often feel my rate card is too expensive,” he said. “But my pricing is research-based. The value I provide matches what I charge. I’ve been in this field for ten years, so I know when to raise or lower my rates. And to be honest, I did a lot of free work when I was starting out.” The comedian further admitted that he sometimes inflates his rates intentionally to discourage brands he feels would be difficult to work with or those whose key performance indicators he might not meet. “I use a high rate card as a polite way to turn down certain jobs,” he explained. “For brands I’m not confident about working with or meeting their expectations, I give a high quote. The challenge comes when some of these brands actually agree to the inflated rates—that’s when I have to be honest and turn them down.”  Njugush is among the best Kenyan comedians who are making moves in the comedy industry and draw a large number of fans.

Kenyan Prince Address claims that he deactivated his social media accounts

Kenyan businessman Raymond Omosa who is popularly known as the Kenyan Prince, has responded to claims that he deactivated his social media accounts following the arrest of 24 Kenyans by the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) in connection with a Ksh 1.1 billion card fraud scheme.  Kenyan Prince responded, dismissing the claims as baseless. “I’ve already moved past dealing with the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI). Now I’m with Interpol, and they still haven’t caught me! Bring in the CIA now,” Prince stated  Commenting on the recent death of two young businessmen, Prince noted that the cause of death is related to the company they keep and how they spend their money. “You cannot call yourself a billionaire while hanging out with people like ‘chokoraa’ . These young individuals are dying because they are chasing quick money. Someone wakes up one day, suddenly has Ksh 10 million, and decides they want to become Prince the Billionaire. This reckless behavior leads to young lives being lost,” Prince explained. The mysterious circumstances surrounding Billionaire Akoko and Denno Bright   continue to raise many questions.  The two were known for showcasing their lavish lifestyles on social media. His statement comes at a time when several Kenyans on social media alleged that he is also on Interpol’s radar after 24 Kenyans were arrested. Interpol recently arrested 24 Kenyans in connection with a significant online credit card fraud operation. It is alleged that the fraud involves altering banking system security protocols to steal approximately USD 8.6 million (around KSh 1.1 billion), which was then redistributed to various companies and digital asset institutions.

Diddy Combs denied bail for third time in sex-trafficking case

Renowned  rapper Diddy Combs has been denied bail for the third time by a judge in New York City in sex trafficking case. According to the US District Judge, Arun Subramanian, the court could not trust Mr Combs if released on bail. “The Court finds that the government has shown by clear and convincing evidence that no condition or combination of conditions will reasonably assure the safety of the community,” the judge wrote in Wednesday’s ruling. The rapper is being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, charged with racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation for prostitution. Previously two judges also denied Mr Combs’s release from custody, primarily due to concerns about potential witness tampering, deeming it a significant risk if he was freed before trial, which is scheduled for May 2025. He has entered a plea of not guilty and has also denied more than two dozen sexual assault accusations lodged in a flurry of civil lawsuits. The judge cited evidence in the case showing  Combs’s alleged attempts at witness tampering, his violation of prison regulations while behind bars, and claims he ran a criminal enterprise which included forced labour and kidnapping. In a recent court filing, the prosecutors accused the rapper of misusing jail communications to influence witnesses in his case and coercing others in his orbit to post online in order to sway public opinion and benefit his defence. However, defence attorneys for Combs said he should be released so he has adequate time to prepare for his trial next year. Earlier this month, Judge Subramanian ordered prosecutors in the case to destroy all copies of nearly 20 pages seized during a recent search of the former hip-hop star’s jail cell. Some of the documents included handwritten notes to his attorneys and thoughts on his legal strategy, court filings show. Dozens of civil lawsuits have been filed against Diddy accusing him of coercing and abusing both men and women, blackmailing them with video recordings of sexual encounters, threatening witnesses, and in some cases, physically beating them. But Mr Combs has vehemently denied all the allegations.

Bolo also stated that he got married young hence he did things that were not so good. “When we started our relationship, we faced many challenges. Personally, considering when we started the relationship, I was young. According to me, Mueni was young; I was 24, and she was 21. My major challenge was that I felt like I needed to do what I was supposed to do at 24. So I played a lot with her feelings. I was sure that it was her, but my age was catching up with me. Mueni was stable in that she knew what she wanted, but for me I was trouble. Those were the challenges in the early stages of the relationship until I decided to change and be a serious, focused man,” he noted. His statement came as he was defending himself after she called him out for allegedly cheating on him. “You used to blackout, and then I take your phone, being a paparazzi and getting evidence. Bishop Harrison advises couples to avoid addressing each other as “mummy” and “daddy’’

The founder of Christian Foundation Fellowship (CFF), Bishop Harrison, has advised couples to avoid addressing each other as mummy and daddy. According to pastor Harrison, doing so will lead to familiarity which in return might lead to loss of feelings and attraction to each other. ‘When you call your husband daddy he will end up marrying someone else. How can both you and the kids call him daddy? Itabidid awaletee mama yao.” Advising the men, the pastor also urged them to stop using the word Mummy. “Stop calling your woman mummy, if you call her mum with time mnaanza kuangaliana kama mama na mtoto. She might end up looking for someone else.” He went on to share some insights on relationships. “Mahali umewahi kugongewa, unaweza gongewa tena. The person who gave you children, even if you see him as a devil with horns, can still father another child with you. If he humbles himself before you, a second child might happen. “I know of a lady who had one child. After her baby daddy apologized, they ended up having a second child. The man told her he was married and would only support the kids. However, the support led to her getting pregnant with two more children, making her a mother of four.”   View this post on Instagram   A post shared by Mpasho Kenya (@mpashogram) He further advised young men against marrying too early, urging them to exercise patience. “Who told you to get married at 21? By the time you reach 27, you may meet your Mr. Right. Men are marrying too early, and when they get home, they often struggle to communicate effectively. Being disturbed by a woman is what we call marriage,” he said.
