Tanzanian singer Diamond Platinumz has responded to Furaha fest backlash.
In a turn of events, Diamond Platinumz said that he received $150, 000 account for the Furaha Fest participation but left without doing so.
This he said in a video meant for his supporters.

He stated in the video that he does not like engaging in ‘foolish social media rumors’ but decided to share his side of the story.
He explained to his fans that his difficulties began as soon as he got to the venue for the performance for a concert held at Nairobi Polo Club.
I am an artist who has respect for my job. There have been a lot of fabricated ideas as to why I did not perform for my fans at the Nairobi Polo club.
Diamond Platinumz said.
The Tanzanian singer stated that he did his part as per the contract between his management and the organizers of Furaha Fest who let him down instead.

He added that he arrived early before the event as the headliner as was stated in the contract and on the day of the event, he arrived at the just as Kaligraph Jones was doing his part and waiting for his turn to go on stage.
Diamond said that when he arrived, he found there was a commotion already going on which included Kenyan singer Willy Paul in the midst who was accusing the organizers of trying to stop him from performing and insisting that Diamond should perform first.
With the commotion, he waited for three hours to go on stage but by the time the organizers had put everything in order, it was already too late.
So, he left and would not refund the money as he had stated in the video.
