Githunguri Member of Parliament Gathoni Wamuchomba has recently revealed details of her association with Law Society of Kenya President, Faith Odhiambo.
According to the MP, she did not know Odhiambo well prior to the protests that rocked the country for several months as Kenyasn took to the streets to reject the Finance Bill 2024, and to demand better governance.
Gathoni recounted that she met Odhiambo in the struggles during the protests and was won over by the LSK President’s selfless service, amazing talent and good heart as she defended unarmed youth against police brutality.
“Some people are just amazingly talented and good hearted. I didn’t know her well till we met in the struggles after the Gen Z protests. I had to step up as a mother and do what was needed to assist young people in distress.”
Wamuchomba went on to share that in the course of defending the youth against police brutality, she would call Odhiambo at night and she did that without expecting much.
“Sometimes, I had to call this lady at night to stand in the gap to defend youths against police brutality and she did just that without much expectations.”
She also added that Odhiambo’s selfless service to the nation has earned her a special place in Kenya’s history and her actions as well as contribution to a better Kenya will not be forgotten.
“When the History of this nation will be written her name will be forever be engraved and her name is Ms Faith Odhiambo the president of the Law society of Kenya . Today just presented to her some flowers of appreciation and Merry Xmass. Daughter of Kenya.”
