Gor Mahia Boosts Efforts to Find an Experienced Head Coach

The chairman of Gor Mahia Ambrose Rachier has stated the Keny qualifications for the club’s next head coach.

The club in the past had a Brazilian coach Martins Leonardo Neiva who left the club after managing just six leagues matches, during which results failed to meet the club’s high expectations.

He emphasized on an individual who can independently identify the players on the club’s team.

With this, the chairman assured fans that the club’s management would not interfere with coach’s decisions regarding the player’s section.

Gor Mahia needs an experienced coach who can independently identify the best players for the team, especially those who represent their national teams.

Rachier stated.

He added that the club has been receiving steady stream of application, with at least two hitting their inbox daily.

We’ve had coaches from different parts of the world, and we understand how they approach club management. We’ll conduct through vetting to select a coach who aligns with our vision.

The chairman further stated.

Meanwhile, Zedekiah Otieno has taken charge in guiding the team and has managed to make the team secure 2-0 win over Kakamega Homeboyz and another 2-0 triumph against Mara Sugar.

Despite the wins, his chances of securing the role permanently appear to be slim as Gor Mahia prefers foreign coaches over locals.
