Healthy warning: Government Recalls Faulty ‘Sure’ Lubricated Condoms

The Pharmacy and poisons board have issued a statement against the use of ‘sure’ condoms.

The statement was released on Tuesday Wednesday 11th December 2024.

In the statement issued, the Pharmacy and Poisons Board stated that the manufacturing company Indus Medicare Private Limited were not complying with the specifications for the freedom from the holes (conductivity) test performed.

The pharmacy and poisons board (the board) draws public attention to the recall of the substandard sure lubricated condoms doted Batch 2405055, Manufactured by Indus Medicare Private Limited. The product samples did not comply with the specifications for the freedom form holes (conductivity) test performed. 

They stated.

In light of this, the Board advises all pharmaceutical outlets, healthcare facilities, healthcare professionals and members of the public to immediately quarantine and STOP further distribution, sale, issuance or use of the affected product batch and return the product to the nearest healthcare facility or respective suppliers. 

They added.

The further encouraged the public to report any suspected cases of sub-standard medicines or adverse drug reactions to the nearest healthcare facility or the pharmacy and Poisons board.
