The motion was filed by senator Danson Mungatana of Tana River County on September 23.
The senator expressed his displeasure and disappointment with the conduct of Mr. Gachagua.
He said that Mr. Gachagua being the deputy President, behaved as the president himself and did works like allocation of resourses and giving employment to Kenyans at the public service.

Mr. Mungatana mentioned that DP. Gachagua was supposed to be the principal assistant to the president making the office a symbol of national unity helping his citizens.
The senator stated further that his work was to take care of his entire nation rather than inciting Kenyans to disobey law directives by some county government.

Based on all this, the motion to discuss the conduct of DP. Rigathi Gachagua was therefore filed by the senate.
