His management team assured fans that the musician was receiving excellent medical care and expressed optimism about his recovery.

“To all the Leone Island Music Empire fans and well-wishers, we understand that the news of Jose Chameleone’s hospitalisation may have caused concern and worry. We want to assure you that Chameleone is receiving the best medical care and attention, and we are optimistic about his recovery.’’

Days later, his first born son Marcus revealed that the singer’s condition is linked to years of alcohol addiction.

He further noted that the alcohol addiction had not only caused the acute pancreatitis but also contributed to his father’s noticeable weight loss.

“My father struggles with alcohol addiction and has been for q while now. Hence the weight loss that people have been talking about… It completely disheartens me when I see the internet bashing my mother making her the cause of everything. Am here to tell you that is completely false. My mother has nothing to do with it.”
