Renowned artist, Eminem’s mother Debbie Nelson has passed away.
The news was reported on Tuesday by Dennis Dennehy, the spokesperson for the 52-year-old rapper.
Debbie died Monday night at St. Joseph Missouri Hospital after battling with lung cancer which reports came town be known months ago in September even though the cause of death is yet to be known at the moment.

Eminem whose real name is Marshall Mathers has not yet made a public statement about his mother’s death.
Debbie had Eminem when she was stilled a teenager in 1982.
Eminem’s parents separated in his childhood but since then Eminem had strained relationship with his mother highlighting drug abuse and neglect.

Debbie sued her son for $11 million for defamation because of the lyrics to 2002’s cleanin’ Out of my closet.
In 2002, Eminem starred in the film 8 Mile which was based on his life growing up in a trailer park and his strained relationship with his mother.
However, Nelson admitted in an interview in 2008 that she wanted to put their differences aside.
Debbie also had a second son called Nathan Samra-Mathers with Fred Samra Jr in 1986.
With the new of her death, the date of her burial has not yet been set.
