Jay-Z took to social media to deny the allegations calling it a part of a ‘blackmail attempt’ by the plaintiff’s lawyer.
The lawsuit was first filed on October in the Southern District of New York and Jay-Z was not named as one of the defendants.
He was only mentioned in the amended Lawsuit and identified as ‘Celebrity A’ on the original complaint.
The lawsuit alleged that the anonymous girl was drugged and sexually assaulted by both Jay-Z and Diddy Combs during the MTV Awards in 2000 which was held in New York.
Diddy Combs denied the allegation. The American rapper is currently in jail on Federal sex trafficking charges which he pleaded not guilty.
Tony Buzbee, Texas lawyer representing the anonymous girl filed the lawsuit on Sunday and so far, has filed at least 20 civil lawsuits against Combs accusing him of sexual misconduct.
Mentioning Jay-Z and Diddy in the case, Tony said the victim ‘never demanded a penny’ from Jay-Z, she only sought for a confidential mediation.
