Raila: “A trap was set up to catch a mouse, but the one who set up the trap was the one who went down.”

Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga has waded into former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s woes, throwing shade at Gachagua who was hounded from office by his own party. Addressing a gathering during ODM Deputy Party Leader Godfrey Osotsi’s Thanksgiving ceremony, Raila left the crowd reeling in laughter after his narration of how Gachagua embarked on a futile mission to ensnare him with traps only to end up being the victim. “A trap was set up to catch a mouse, but the one who set up the trap was the one who went down.” He further noted how Gachagua went about thumping his chest and declaring himself as the gatekeeper of the State House who would ensure no cooperation between Odinga and the Kenya Kwanza regime. “He went to State House talking about how he was setting up a trap for Baba. He said there would be no handshake, no coalition government (Nusu mkate). Where is Gachagua now?” Months before Gachagua’s  impeachment, the former DP hailed the success of his traps and declared that they were effective to a point that Raila’s first meeting with President William Ruto had to be outside the country. “My traps were working very well because even that time they decided to meet, they did so in Uganda as they watched Museveni’s big horned cattle,’’ Gachagua noted. Shortly afterwards, Rigathi Gachagua was impeached as the Second in Command and swiftly replaced with Deputy President Kithure Kindiki.

Kalonzo Musyoka criticises the government over increasing cases of abductions

Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka has recently criticised the government over increasing cases of arbitrary arrests and abductions allegedly done by security agencies disguised as civilians. Speaking during a church service at St. Joseph Worker Parish in Race Course Nakuru, Kalonzo accused the government for keeping quiet when abductions continue to happen all over the country. He gave an example of the recent case of arrest of billionaire businessman Benson Ndeta of Savannah Clinker who has put in a bid to take over Bamburi Cement. The businessman was arrested on November 28 and charged in court a few weeks after his company proposed to pay Ksh 25.41 billion for the giant Bamburi Cement Company, outbidding his competitors, the Tanzania-based conglomerate Amsons Industries. According to Kalonzo, the arrest of the business magnet was related to the affordable housing project advanced by the Kenya Kwanza regime. “All these fights are linked to the affordable housing project. A Kenyan businessman, well organised, got the bid and now they want to stop him,” he explained. Kalonzo moreover called on the church to pray over the worrying trend of abductions warning that many families are in distress not knowing the fate of their abducted kin. Talking of the taxes, Kalonzo noted that the taxes imposed on people are too high leaving most Kenyans with nothing to take home in the wake of hard economic times. “Kenyans have no problem with paying taxes, but the problem is that taxes end up in people’s pockets.’’

According to Eve, she does prioritize getting her personal space.  “Let me rant a bit today; I’m tired of some men. You get upset just because I don’t reply to your DMs—like, why are you mad? She went on to call out men who get offended when their advances are declined and she advises them to always  respect any answer they get. “Some men can’t handle being told no. Whether it’s about going on a date, buying me lunch, or wanting to date me if a woman says no, respect that. I don’t want your offers, and I don’t want you. Why get angry over rejection?” The content creator moreover criticized people who call her and then hand the phone to their friends. “You get my WhatsApp contact and start bombarding me with calls, expecting me to talk to your friends. I don’t know you, and this is extremely annoying. Stop it! If I say I’m not interested, please respect that. Some of you even insult me when I refuse. This is so frustrating!” Eve also disclosed  that her current relationship is much more fulfilling than her previous one with Director Trevor, which she described as a decision born out of loneliness rather than love. only stayed with him because he loved me, and I had nowhere else to go. Looking back, I’ve realized many young people get into relationships or marriages because of circumstances, not genuine connection,” she noted.

Nairobi County Government Reveals the cause of frequent floods in the city

The Nairobi County Government has revealed the cause of frequent floods in the city after rains left several parts of the city flooded with motorists and pedestrians also stranded on Friday evening. According to Nairobi Chief Officer of Environment Geoffrey Mosiria, the developers are to be blamed absolving the county government from all blame. He further noted that the flooding was due to construction of buildings on riparian land, with some blocking waterways. “What we are experiencing in Parklands is not about the drainage system but about developers building on riparian land. This problem can only be solved if the people of Parklands come together and we agree to demolish buildings on riparian land.” Parklands was among the most affected areas with photos showing sections of residential buildings, roads and pedestrian walkways flooded. Mosiria has also claimed that the county government had done its part. “As county government, we must tell each other the truth. When you go to social media to post about the floods bashing the county, I will also come here and bring you facts, the government is working, but people are building on riparian land.” He also noted that the solution lies in the demolition of buildings and structures erected on illegal spaces.     View this post on Instagram   A post shared by Whisper Wire (@whispers_wire1) Mosiria maintained that demolitions will open the waterways and allow for proper flow of water, saving residents from the nightmare of frequent floods.
