Francis Atwoli has sought not to be considered to take the Deputy Presidential, Rigathi Gachagua seat ahead of the motion to impeach him.
Gachagua’s impeachment is yet to be decided by the senate.
Ahead of the impeachment motion, there were rumors that Francis Atwoli was to succeed the current deputy president if the impeachment went on successfully.
Francis Atwoli addressed the issue on his social media today.
He said that those people who are busy peddling rumors under some unknown research document on who should be considered for DP from Western Kenya.

Francis Atwoli urged them to stop and forget such unprocessed thoughts.
The Luhyas have known leaders in government, who present the community ably. I am a trade unionist, period. And I don’t desire any other elective or appointive seat. If there is anything coming for the Luhya community, we have known political leaders who speak for the community politically and represent us in government. I am just an elder and advisor.
Francis Atwoli added.
He has been working as a Kenyan trade unionist who serves as a Secretary General of the Central Organization of Trade Unions in Kenya.
