Kirinyaga women rep Jane Njeri has been summoned DCI towards plans of sabotaging the public participation exercise on Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua impeachment motion.
This was after the senator of Tana River raised a censure motion for Gachagua to be impeached.
The senator said in his statement that Gachagua had started behaving as the Co-President of Kenya and therefore, there was need for the succession of the impeachment.
He had done works like allocation of resources which was supposed to be done by the President.
After a while, the desire for the public participation towards the motion censure was passed the through.
Jane Njeri said that she had been summoned to appear before the DCI on Thursday, 3rd October 2024.
Miss Njeri described the summon as something that was meant to intimidate her because she was the biggest supporter of Rigathi Gachagua.
She further stated that the reason was to cause fear for the public participation whether the impeachment should take place towards the people of Central Kirinyaga.
Njeri promised to continue telling the people of Kirinyaga to come out in large number and express the constitutional rights on Friday.
Gachagua’s impeachment motion has been supported by 291 MPs supporting the bid.
