Impeached DP Rigathi Gachagua Sends Warning To President Ruto After His Impeachment

Impeached Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has recently sent a message to President William Ruto warning him that the Mt Kenya region, where he comes from, will not forget how the impeachment against him was plotted. Speaking during a church service at Saint James ACK Cathedral in Kiambu County, Gachagua  noted that he was sure that the people of the Mt Kenya region will not forget all that happened.  “We forgive but we don’t forget. I’ve heard people saying that 3 years is a lot of time that by 2027, people will have forgotten. Even the atrocities meted on us by the white man, the pain we suffered under President Moi, we still remember. When the time is right, we will address the issue at hand. But at the moment, we will keep quiet.” Rigathi Gachagua appeared much calmer despite the three weeks of intense battles with the National Assembly, the Senate, and now at the High Court.  He further asked Kenyans to pray for the Head of State who he stated has a tough task on his hands. “I want to ask Kenyans to pray for President Ruto to give him wisdom to navigate the challenges affecting Kenyans.’’ The ousted DP also went ahead to name a number of key sectors in the country which Kenyans have been critical of in the last few weeks as he called on the President to correct them. “Our people are feeling helpless because of economic adversities, over-taxation, failing health systems and the President has a big job to do. We pray for God to give him wisdom so the people of Kenya can get some relief when they go about their business.” He was accompanied by a number of his allies during the church service, including his staunch supporter Kiambu Senator Karungo wa Thang’wa.

Probably just like a billionaire. On a yacht. In Dubai. In a thong.”  Talking about her dating life, the artist celebrated the fact that she was single before hitting the limelight, a decision she credits to have helped raise her standards and give her a clear goal of what she wants.  “I’m so happy I was not really dating before I started music,” the 22-year-old artist candidly said. She went on to add, “I didn’t really know what I was missing, so now that I have waited this long to date people I have very high standards and if it is going to be hard to meet it [my standards] then it is going to be bye bye.”  She further noted that  with all things considered she still wasn’t in a space for dating as she barely had free time given her career choice.  “But also, I don’t even have time for myself talk less of a boy.’’ In a previous interview with Dazed Magazine, the Nigerian artist shared she was a lover girl deep in her heart, who had a deep longing to fall in love and experience the type of relationship she has always envisioned.  “I want to fall in love. A deputy president who will serve all the people of Kenya not just the people of Tharaka Nithi or the mountain region.” He further disclosed that he had spent the night at Kindiki’s home just two Sundays before where they had had discussions and prayed heavily for Kibwezi West MP Mwengi Mutuse, who was the motion-mover in the impeachment of Rigathi Gachagua. “And because we are children of God, when we prayed God heard us. I want to assure you, people of Tharaka Nithi, we are in a good place because those of us who voted in Parliament, I want to tell you soon enough, time will vindicate us, that we did what we had to do for our love for a united nation.” Speaking about impeached DP Rigathi Gachagua, Ichung’wah slighted  Rigathi Gachagua over his utterances perceived to be too pro-Mt Kenya and assured Kenyans that the region was intact and Kenya was ready to move on once Kindiki is sworn in.
