Government Stopped From Implementing Any Deals Between KETRACO And Adani

A Court in Nairobi has issued an order barring the government from implementing any of the deals agreed between  Kenya Electricity Transmission Company Limited (KETRACO) and Adani. “Pending the inter parties hearing and determination of the Application dated 23/10/2024 a conservatory order be and is hereby issued suspending the implementation of any project agreed. That any project between the respondents jointly and any if its related companies and entities with regard to development of transmission lines, substations, or any other electrical power infrastructure.” Adani had entered into a deal with KETRACO that would see the Indian conglomerate operate four electricity transmission lines in Kenya and two substations for 30 years before handing them back to Kenya. KETRACO was further ordered not to enter into any new agreement or further any existing agreement concerning Adani Group and any of its related companies.  The case shall be mentioned again on 11th November 2024 to confirm compliance and to take further directions on the expedited hearing and determination of the application and petition. The  orders came after the Law Society of Kenya had filed a petition against KETRACO at the Milimani law courts, disagreeing with the partnership between the Indian Conglomerate Adani and KETRACO. President William Ruto had recently championed the partnership between the Adani Energies Limited and KETRACO.  The president championed the partnerships claiming that they were a way of reducing tax burden to Kenyans.

We decided to send the cash to Makanga Bae’s wife. The company also called me and I sent the name of Makanga Bae’s mum. The company provides money for a casket. We promised to cater for food and water.” He also disclosed that there was another group that had allegedly contributed Sh 120,000 which was sent to the family. William Ruto Defends Adani Group Deals In Kenya, Says They’ll Reduce Taxes

President William Ruto calls Kenyans to embrace private partners as they have the capacity to finance major projects in Kenya which will help alleviate the tax burden on Kenyans. Speaking during the groundbreaking of the 35MW Orpower 22 Power Plant, Menengai in Nakuru County, Ruto hailed Private Partnerships and praised the Adani Group, claiming that embracing such partners was the right direction to take if Kenya wants to develop. “The Adani Group is investing in the transmission line with their own money Ksh 95 billion. We would have gone to borrow that money and burden the people of Kenya, but this is now a private-sector investment. It is the same partnership that saw us have the  Nairobi Expressway.” Ruto went on to state that Adani’s investment means Kenya can now redirect her much needed resources to other pressing matters further noting that Kenya needs the private sector to invest within the country to help the nation realize its potential and fully exploit her existing resources. “It is important for us as a nation to appreciate that a partnership between the public and private sector gives us a win-win situation where we can deliver public services using the investment of private sector as a way supporting overall development in our country.’’ The Kenyan government is hoping to facilitate the construction of 371 Kilometres of transmission lines and five substations in Eastern and Western Kenya as part of a public-private partnership with Adani Energy to ensure stability in supply.

Content Creators Nicholas Kioko and Wambo Ashley Reveals That They spend 58k Monthly On Baby Formula

Content creators Nicholas Kioko and Wambo Ashley have recently revealed that the arrival of their twin boys completely changed  their perspective on life. In an interview with Mungai Eve, Kioko also disclosed that they spend about KSh 58,000 every month on formula for their twins.  “At that time, we were buying a tin that cost KSh 1,960, which would last only 18 hours. That comes to around KSh 58,000 per month. It’s very expensive, so don’t have kids if you’re not ready.”   Ashley also disclosed that she only breastfed for the first three months and eventually felt overwhelmed, prompting them to switch to formula feeding. “The kids have really kept us on our toes. You know raising twins isn’t the same as raising just one child. With twins, you really have to be financially prepared. I breastfed for the first three months, but it became overwhelming. It’s not that I didn’t have milk, but I just didn’t have enough. I could breastfeed, but by the third month, I was exhausted. It was just tiring, and since there were two babies, we decided to switch to formula.” Talking about how they ended up living together as a couple, Kioko revealed that it wasn’t planned, but rather the pregnancy brought them together. “The pregnancy is what made us start living together. She had completely refused to move in with me. I even had to move to a different house, but she still refused. After I moved, we had a disagreement. I tried to persuade her, but she didn’t want to, so I decided to stay quiet. The next day, she texted me saying she was coming to pick up her clothes in the evening. She came for her clothes and never returned. That’s how it ended, and she later found out she was pregnant.”  They two have twins (boys) together.
