Fans Raise Concerns over Star Chebet’s whereabouts after disturbing revelations

Concern continues to grow among Kenyans over the whereabouts of comedienne Star Chebet, an actress mostly known from ‘The Real Househelps of Kawangware’. The concerts come after Chebet’s popular social media accounts have been inactive for months, leaving fans worried about her well-being. The last time she was seen online was in June 2024 and she shared a deeply personal account of her struggles with mental health and drug use. Star Chebet started by opening up about the challenges she faced following her mother’s passing in 2022. She went on to reveal that her struggle with drugs began in 2018 and intensified after her loss. In 2023, she suffered from a severe migraine for four days, which led to insomnia and hallucinations. She began hearing voices, which prompted her to leave her home and seek refuge at her aunt’s place.  However, the voices persisted, growing louder over time. The actress sought treatment at Chiromo Mental Health Hospital, where she stayed for two weeks but despite the intervention, her struggles continued. She moved houses in 2024, but the auditory hallucinations followed her, leading her to travel across various towns, including Nakuru, Mtwapa, Malindi, Mombasa, and Kericho, in search of peace. Recently, social media users shared updates claiming that Star Chebet’s whereabouts had been identified. An account named Kalenjin Media reported that Chebet’s cousin, Cate, revealed she had moved to Nanyuki three months ago. Cate has since been in contact with Chebet’s landlord, Bosco, who had raised concerns about her welfare. It is alleged that Neighbours reported that Chebet had been staying indoors and ordering food regularly until January 1, when the orders stopped.  They also mentioned hearing occasional screams from her house, prompting the landlord to reach out to her family. Details surrounding her condition remain unclear but the hope for her recovery remains strong.

The journalist had taken to his X account revealing his exit from Standard Group where he was one of the founders of Spice FM’s The Situation Room and he also anchored news on KTN. The seasoned journalist served as a host of the show for five years. In a heartfelt message, Latiff bid goodbye to the show that he hosted together with CT Muga, Ndu Okoh, and Njeri Thorne acknowledging the growth and impact the show has had on Kenyans. Moreover, The journalist also worked for other media houses spearheading the launch of Kenya’s first vernacular station, Kameme FM and K24.

Oliver Mathenge Quits Nation Media Group After 3 years

Renowned Kenyan journalist Oliver Mathenge has announced his exit from the Nation Media Group after 3 years. “These past three years have been an incredible journey of learning, collaboration, and transformation, and I am deeply grateful for the experiences and relationships I have built within this organization.As I move forward, I carry with me the valuable lessons and experiences gained during my time at NMG. I am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead and eager to continue contributing to the evolving media landscape.” Mathenge did not disclose his next career step and opportunity, although he hinted that he would remain in the media industry. He went on to highlight some of his key successes as he slowly climbed the corporate ladder at the media house. “In my role as Managing Editor, I focused on enhancing audience engagement and driving digital growth. Working alongside an incredibly talented team, we implemented paywalls across Nation Africa, Business Daily, and The East African.” He joined NMG in 2007 and started out as a news journalist, working in that position for five years until 2012. Later he joined Radio Africa Group where he initially worked as Parliamentary Reports Editor In 2017, he earned a promotion at Radio Africa, landing a role as Group Digital Editor for the company’s outlets. He made a comeback to NMG in 2021, landing a job as the Managing Editor at NTV –  a post that morphed into the Managing Editor in charge of Audience and Engagement thanks to additional changes effected in the media house in 2023.

Musician Jose Chameleone Jets Off for Treatment Abroad

Ugandan artist Jose Chameleone is set to receive treatment in the US after being hospitalized for some few weeks. In a video shared on social media, Jose Chameleone is seen at the airport with his family and friends.  Chameleone was in a wheelchair, and his mum hugged him lovingly. The musician was emotional during the family moment.  A few weeks ago, the artist sparked a lot of concern among his fans after a video of him being rushed to the hospital emerged. Hence the weight loss that people have been talking about… It completely disheartens me when I see the internet bashing my mother making her the cause of everything. Am here to tell you that is completely false. My mother has nothing to do with it.”

Oga Obinna Questions Those Criticising Rachel Otuoma After Husband’s Death

Renowned digital content  creator Oga Obinna has called out people criticising Rachel Otuoma after her husband’s death.  Taking to his socials, the digital content creator started by sending his condolences to Rachel and Ezekiel Otuoma’s family. Obinna went on to acknowledge how Ezekiel was a great footballer before his sickness, moreover congratulating Rachel for sticking by Otuoma during his illness. “He was a brilliant footballer and had good vibes. The sickness changed a lot. 90 percent of women would not have stayed. Remember, she was a caregiver for 24 hours; she had no other life. You’ve dumped men just because they lost a job.” According to Obinna, being a caregiver is not a walk in the park going on to question those claiming Rachel misused monetary contributions. “That is how she survives. When she makes her hair, you start talking. Media personality Azziad Nasenya  has shared how she has been struggling with mental health. The Influencer moreover disclosed that she had been admitted to hospital for the past two weeks. Taking to her social media , She advised netizens to take a break if they needed to. “I was not allowed to go outside under the doctor’s supervision, and for the past two to three weeks, I have not been on my phone. I have not posted, I have not been on WhatsApp, I have not done anything because it was necessary. That was one of the dangers to me. I was taking care of my mental health. It was bad; it’s been a rollercoaster; it has been a ride. I am just telling you this to tell you that it is normal. It is life,” she said. She went on to note that this year brought her good and bad experiences, and she apologised to the people she may have unintentionally hurt. “When you need to take a break to work on yourself, please do. It has been a crazy year. This has been the year that I had a lot of wins and a lot of downs; I made a lot of good and bad decisions. Good financial mistakes, bad financial mistakes. Gathoni Wamuchomba celebrates LSK President Faith Odhiambo with gifts

Githunguri Member of Parliament Gathoni Wamuchomba has recently revealed details of her association with Law Society of Kenya President, Faith Odhiambo. According to the MP, she did not know Odhiambo well prior to the protests that rocked the country for several months as Kenyasn took to the streets to reject the Finance Bill 2024, and to demand better governance. Gathoni recounted that she met Odhiambo in the struggles during the protests and was won over by the LSK President’s selfless service, amazing talent and good heart as she defended unarmed youth against police brutality. “Some people are just amazingly talented and good hearted. I didn’t know her well till we met in the struggles after the Gen Z protests. American rapper Jay-z’s lawsuit has faced inconsistencies. The rapper was accused of allegedly raping a teenager two decades ago when she was 13 years. The Alabama woman referred as Jane Doe details levied against the rapper in an interview with NBC news. This was after her lawyer amended lawsuit against Sean Diddy Combs and included Jay-Z. The Alabama woman accused them of raping her at an after-party for the 2000 MTV video music Awards in the Empire State. Honestly, what is the clearest is what happened to me and route that I took to what happened to me. Not all the faces there are as clear. So, I have made mistakes. I may have made a mistake in identifying. The Alabama woman said. Jane Doe claimed that her father had picked her up after the alleged sexual assault. She also alleged to have spoken with a celebrity during the after-party. The Alabama woman alleged that when got to the after-party residence, she was asked to sign a non-disclosure agreement. She was allegedly drugged after being served a drink and then attacked by Combs and Jay-Z in September 2000. Ugandan musician Jose Chameleone has been hospitalised, sparking a lot of concern among his fans. The artist was rushed to a medical facility on December 12 after suffering a sudden illness. A video shared captured the moment Chameleone, visibly unwell and showing signs of physical distress, was escorted into the hospital by his manager. His condition reignited worries that have lingered since 2023, when the artist was bedridden for weeks due to serious health issues. Last year, Chameleone was hospitalised in the United States while attending his son’s graduation. Governor Sakaja to rename Nairobi Road in Honor of Rap Legend E-Sir

Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja has revealed several roads in Nairobi will be renamed after legendary Kenyan artist E-sir. This he said during this year’s Jamhuri Day Celebrations at Uhuru Gardens on Thursday 12th December 2024. We shall be honoring our artists by renaming some of the road…One of the roads in South C will be re-named after the great hero E-sir. Sakaja said. E-sir whose real name is Issah Mmari Wangui was a Kenyan rapper. He was nominated for the Mdundo Awards for most downloaded Hip-Hop Artist. The Kenya best known rapper died in a tragic car accident along the Nakuru-Nairobi Highway on his way back to Nairobi from a concert at Afraha Stadium in 2003 with Boomba train as his last hit song. Kenya singer Nameless who was with E-sir at the time of the accident had launched a petition onlineto name one of the roads after E-sir which garnered thousands of signatures at the time. E-sir has also been known for his hit music ‘Moss moss’ and ‘Leo ni leo’ which still attract listeners up to today.
