Safaricom CEO Peter Ndegwa Open to a Partnership with Star Link

Safaricom CEO Peter Ndegwa has openly expressed his desire to explore a partnership with Star Link Elon Musk’s satellite internet service. Before, Star Link was said to have interrupted the internet in Kenya since it has faster internet speeds. While speaking to Bloomberg, Peter Ndegwa said that the potential partnership would ensure Star link complement with the local network. The Safaricom CEO said that the satellite internet was effective in providing internet in rural areas and other places that fiber-based technology used by Safaricom and other local providers cannot access. He praised Safaricom’s impact claiming that 4G technology has 95 percentage reach across the country while fiber optic cable was becoming a fan favorite for homes and multinational companies. Peter responded to concerns of curtailing Star link wave after writing to Communications Authority of Kenya asking them to reconsider its decision to grant licenses to satellite internet providers. The CEO noted that there was misconception about Safaricom getting in the way of the satellite. He further said they had expressed their views about how the regulator should ensure industrial players express their views about how it is in terms of public transportation as per the constitution. Ndegwa said that they did not have the ability to prevent anyone from operating in Kenya. President Ruto who had weighed on the matter said in New York that Safaricom had created a healthy competition in the market making Safaricom to provide better services. Safaricom had recently upgraded its fiber internet speeds in a bid to edge the competition as well as packages that offered 1,000Mbps to meet the needs of heavy internet users such as content creators. Star link had also introduced Star link mini kit that would cost Ksh. 27,000 with monthly packages beginning from Ksh. 1300.

Digital content creator Eve Mungai has revealed that she did not love Director Trevor, she claims their relationship was merely a situationship. The two had already broken up before Mungai Eve said so. The reason for the break up was because the duos felt that the relationship was no longer working. Even after giving each other space for a while, there outcome was not pleasing. In another interview at Mungai Show Media with Nebz and Nyathira, Eve claimed that she had moved into a new relation long before she broke up with Director Trevor. The relationship has almost clocked a year. Later on, Eve disclosed that she realized that young people ended up in relationships because of situations. She added that the main reason was because she wanted to move out of her parent’s house and had no any place to go, so she moved in with Trevor. She said she had met Director Trevor and moved in with him because of her career and she had already been on the limelight. Eve felt that work brought them together and the relationship was just a situationship and confusions. She felt that it was something that she had come to realize after a long time. The duos are in new relatioships and seem to enjoy them.

Keranta Reacts to Claims She Cheated on Flaqo, Didn’t Want Child

Content creator Keranta has responded to rumors alleging that she cheated on fellow comedian Flaqo. The two had been together for two years and above. They parted ways and fans realized when they stopped posting one another. An allegation had been put forward before that Keranta cheated on Flaqo and even got pregnant for the other partner sending him the pregnancy test kit results which were positive. Keranta had told the other partner that they were pregnant. Flaqo also found out that Keranta was talking to different men. This was after Flaqo and Keranta started having arguments and Flaqo felt it was wrong who decided to check through her phone. Flaqo decided to confront Keranta who after being confronted left the relationship. Keranta responded to the allegation that she did not want a child since she was too young. She added that they had only been together for three years and three years was not enough to give man a child. Keranta denied the claims that she had cheated. She said she had moved on and was not in need of a new partner.

Morara Kebaso Reveals he’s Receiving KSh 3 million Only from Kenyans

Kenyan Activist Morara Kebaso has disclosed that he has received Ksh. 3 million from generous Kenyans. The activist had sometime back been rewarded a house in Kahawa Sukari by a well wisher on 17th September. Morara asked Kenyans to help him contribute three million for the furniture’s of the house. In a recent interview with Lynn Ngugi, the Activist was pleased to say that he had received three million from willing Kenyans. An amount of money he had not expected. He further said that he used ksh. 1.5 million to buy a Prado car. He also said he used ksh. 200,000 for the repairs of the car. He explained that he just went to the showroom and explained to the investor of the business that he wanted an old car. The owner agreed to sell the car to him for that amount. Morara said that ever since he started asking for help from Kenyans, he got approximately three million. He spent Ksh. 500,000 on sound equipment although he stated that he had expected more than that. Morara said he used Ksh. 500,000 on generator and Ksh. 200,000 on fuel. The Kenyan activist said that the house furniture’s costed him Ksh. 800,000 since the house had different offices with different departments. The activist said he wanted to do more as time moves, he said that he would fund youths for the pay of their Id cards.

“Kuku Full Nne”: Kabuda Says He Spends Ksh 210k a Month on Food Only

Content creator Kabuda who entertains fans with local dances has revealed that he spends Ksh. 210k a month on food only. The content creator was formerly a matatu tout before he turned into a content creator. Kabuda had said before that he was not sharp in studies as he never grasped things very well in school. He became an internet sensation after recording videos of himself dancing miondoko moves while calling passengers to board on the bus. His talent was realized and he gained fans and many followers which suddenly changed his life for the better. Kabuda recently claimed that he spent ksh. 7000 daily and Ksh.210,000 monthly on food. He added that there was a day he ate four full chicken, three pizzas, a plate of pilau and two sodas. Kabuda had said before that he weighs 150 kgs. He said that his body gave him the nickname Kabuda. One day as he was going somewhere with his friends, a car got a flat tire and his friends joked to him about it. That is how he got the nickname Kabuda. The TikTok dancer added that despite being body shamed at some point, he was proud of his body since God had given it to him.

Ida Odinga Endorses Anne Waiguru for Deputy President Role Amidst Gachagua’s Impeachment

Idah Odinga, wife of Politician Raila Odinga has publicly endorsed Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru for the position of Deputy President. This she said during the G7 summit that brings together all the 7 women Governors in Kenya on 26/9/2024 in Kirinyaga County. The summit was attended by six governors, deputy governors, county Women representatives and senior government officials. On the G7 movement in Kirinyaga, Anne Waiguru was praised for the mentorship to women leaders across the country and the development projects she had achieved in her country. The women representatives wished that Anne Waiguru could vie for Presidency in 2032. Governor Gladys Wanga of Homabay County described Anne Waiguru as a strong woman fit for any position. Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti said there was much to be done in Kenya and Waiguru was fit for the deal. Kwale Governor Fatuma Achani mentioned Waiguru as an excellent mentor and role model for women in leadership noting Waiguru’s ability to navigate challenges that female leaders often face. She therefore encouraged Waiguru to pursue national service. Idah Odinga said she admired Waiguru’s development record, stating that she is well fitted for the next level of leadership. Anne Waiguru responded by saying the G7 movement aims to provide a framework for collective efforts to realize full potential of devolution in Kenya while amplifying the voice of women in leadership.

Henry, the younger brother to popular comedian Flaqo has opened up in a show why he prefers not to work with his brother. The popular comedian has been known for his film Mama Otis which started as a small project and rose to fame. This was because of his ability to play several characters which amazed his fans. Till now, Flaqo is still a big deal in the film industry as people continue watching his content. In a recent interview at Oga Obinna show, Henry Opened up as to why he rarely worked with his brother. This was after Obinna told him that he noticed Flaqo never appeared on his clip and asked if it was intentional. Henry explained that he wanted people to identify him as Henry and not Flaqo’s brother. He wanted his works to be known for him and not for Flaqo. The believe of being identified as Flaqo’s brother would make him feel that somebody has put him on another position in his life. Henry has been a famous face on TikTok. Henry shared in another interview that he always got hateful comments from fans telling him to look for his own calling and not to follow his brother’s success. Faith Kipyegon to be Rewarded 7.7 million After Winning 1500m at Athlos

Kenyan athlete Faith Kipyegon has secured a victory in the 1500m race at Athlos event in New York Icahn Stadium. The inaugural women-only NYC meet took place on 26th September 2024. It was a celebration of women’s athletics launched by entrepreneur Alexis Ohanian. The event was also to address lack of inconsistent media coverage track and fields outside Olympics. The event offered the largest prize in the history of sports winners earning USD 60,000. Faith made a stunning performance by crossing the line in 4 minutes 4.79 seconds to claim victory as Dribe Welteji took second and Susan took third. The middle- distance runner had won the 2024 Paris Olympics by setting a new record of 3:51.29 claiming her 1500 meters gold medal for a third consecutive time. The victory made her the first athletic female to win three consecutive Olympic golds in the 1500m forming a legacy as the greatest female 1500m athlete in history. The world record holder had recently gained recognition in the Academy of Achievements. Mary Moraa, a Kenyan athlete was also participant at the event. She finished second in the 800m Olympic bronze with 58.05 seconds. The only Kenyans who completed at the inaugural event were Ejore, Mary Moraa and faith Kipyegon. Faith Kipyegon said after winning the race that it was a good race, although she started her season very late because of a small problem, she felt strong.

The song was released six months ago and has a total of 6.1million views. Tiktoker Sheryl did the challenge for the song which played a significant role in attracting thousands of new fans to Willy Paul’s channel. Her enthusiasm towards the song caught the attention of many, creating an engagement around the song. Willy Paul appreciated Sheryl’s contribution towards the song with a touching message. The singer was currently in Dubai at the time. He said that he would travel with Sheryl and perform the song with her the next he goes to perform. Sheryl had trended with the challenge and had over three million views on her social media. Former Governor Kivutha Kibwana Returns to Teaching Job at Daystar University

Former Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana has made a remarkable return to resume his teaching career at Daystar University. The former Governor obtained a Degree in Law at the University of Nairobi and a Master of Law. Kibwana later graduated from Havard University with an LLM. He was also the former advisor of President Mwai Kibaki, Minister of Defense, Minister of Environment and former member of Parliament. Although he had ambitions of becoming the President, the Ex-Governor never really reached to that point as he dedicated his time to serve his people. Mr. Kivutha served for two terms as the Governor of Makueni which ended in 2022. The Harvard scholar was the first Governor of Makueni County. He had previously been a professor in University of Nairobi school of law for two decades. The former Governor landed a teaching role at Daystar University which he had sustained under a low profile in the political domain. I thank God for the Opportunity to return to academia after a hiatus, now serving at the Daystar University Law School as a Professor, after a previous 25 tenure at UON. Another new beginning. Where the youth are, I pray I will always be there. Kivutha said in his post. He added that he was set to start on January 2025.
