Hussein Mohammed Elected New President of Football Kenya Federation (FKF)
Hussein Mohammed Rahid has been elected as the new President for Football Kenya Federation in the 2024 elections. The National elections were held on Saturday 7th November 2024. Mohammed won against the outgoing Vice President Doris Petra who was the deputy of Nick Mwendwa. Mohammed won round 1 with 42 votes. There was a rerun as the rule required that a candidate must garner half of the votes of the electrol college in order to win which Doris Petra accepted the defeat and stepped down. Former FKF CEO also stepped down which left Mohammed as the only President which was decided by ninety delegates. There were 46 delegates representing each county with Nairobi having two delegates each with Natural Super League having ten. Hussein Mohammed took to social media to celebrate himself. Thank you, all the delegates who believed in the fresh start and voted for the change. This is not just our win-it’s a win for every player, fan, club, and supporter who dreams of a better future for our game. The work to rebuild Kenyan Football begins now. Together, we will restore pride, nurture talent, and bring back the passion that unites all. Asanteni sana for making this possible. Hussein wrote on his twitter account.
