Gachagua Hints at Potential Political Alliance with Kalonzo for 2027 Elections

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has discoursed at potential alliance with Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka. The former DP stated that Kalonzo had proven to be an ally of the Mountain inn difficult time and as such, the mountain shall return the favor at the right time. This he said during the visit to Kalonzo’s political bastion in Mbooni Makueni County. Wakati tulikuwa tunafukuzwa na wale walitusaidida, Nyinyi mlikuja mkatushikilia, na sisi watu wa Mlima Kenya sisi no watu tukona shukrani.  The impeached Deputy President said. Huyu Kalonzo alisimama na Mwai Kibaki na hiyo deni hatukulipa. Sasa kura lazima tutaweka debe moja.  The former Deputy President added. The former DP at the same time condemned the planned livestock vaccination. Kenyans have right. Si ng’ombe ni yao? Sasa wewe unaenda hapo na unataka kulazimisha baadala usikilize vile wanataka.  Rigathi Gachagua also said. His statement in Makueni is a real proof and clear indication that he is willing to rally his supporters behind Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka in 2027.

Kawira Mwangaza’s Political Future Secured for 120 days As Court Grants Extension

Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza’s impeachment has been revoked with 120 days extention. The now to be again Meru Governor was impeached on August 21st under 3 grounds which included gross misconduct, abuse of office and gross violation of the constitution. However, she won the court battle on 18th December in ruling stated by Justice Bahati Mwamuye. With the new ruling, Kawira is set to continue serving therefore barring her impeachment. The judge said that the decision to uphold orders issued by the High Court in Meru allowed Kawira to continue with her gubernatorial duties before the full and final hearing set for a later date. I shall in this ruling confirm and extend the interim (conservatory) orders for a period of 120 days from the date hereof and in that time, the petitioner shall continue to serve as the governor of Meru County with a provision that a judgement in this matter may be rendered before the lapse of those 120 days on the date hereof.  The Judge stated in his ruling. With the ruling, the application by the Senate to lift the orders that would lead to her effectively dismissal from the office were rejected.

Gachagua Reveals Retired Soldiers Offered to Guard His Home

Former Deputy President of Kenya Rigathi Gachaguahas claimed that ex-soldiers have offered him private security. This he said at Innoro Tv’s Kiririmbi show on Sunday. He emphasized that his official security remained withdrawn since the installation of Bishop Peter Kimani Ndung’u in Embu County on November 16th, 2024. He added that after his impeachment, he was assigned six officers. Four were stationed at his home while the other two as his private security. He was impeached by the Senate and kicked out of the office after being found guilty under 5 out of 11 grounds. Sometime back, the former DP revealed allegations of assassination attempts on his life. He alleged that he was attacked by goons on his team during a funeral at Limuru, Kiambu County, on November 28th He said that during the time that he noted that retired officers had offered to guard his homes and protect him as a private security. A group of armed goons had disrupted and attacked attendees and even battered Gachagua’s car. It was then that he noted he will make a major announcement in 2025 to come up with his next political move.

Gachagua Claims He Helped IG Kanja Secure the IG Job Only to Withdraw My Security

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has recently alleged that he helped Douglas Kanja become the police Inspector General. According to Gachagua, despite the favours that he extended to the police IG and despite being his neighbour from Nyeri County, Kanja still did not help when his security was withdrawn. He moreover blamed the IG for failing to arrest those who planned his attack while attending a funeral service in Limuru, Kiambu County. ”I would like to ask the Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja, he is a neighbour and a man from here. You know the people who attacked us, their pictures are in the public and most of them have criminal records. Why are you not arresting them and taking them to court? Douglas Kanja who removed my security personnel, I am the one who helped him to get the job.” Gachaagua further insisted that the IG will one day have to be answerable to the people over the betrayal, relating to the recent attack on him and his allies as an orchestrated move by the government while calling for the apprehension of the goons. ”We know that the goons were organized by the government. We know that Kanja will one day have to answer that question,” Gachagua noted.

Gachagua Pledges Major Move to Restore Dignity of Mt. Kenya Region in 2025

Former Deputy President of Kenya Rigathi Gachagua has promised to reclaim Mt. Kenya in 2025. This he expressed during a Sunday service at Bahati Church in Ichamara, Murukweni, Nyeri County. He stated his deep concern about what he described as a deliberate strategy to destabilize Mt. Kenya region. The Government has already used Mt. Kenya leaders to achieve their agenda by impeaching me from office. Now, they have turned their focus on inciting the youth, using them as pawns to spark a civil war within the community for their own political advantage. The former Deputy President said during the congregation. Gachagua was impeached by the Senate where most votes to impeach him won which meant that he was kicked out of the office. This is a war whose end you do not know. Do not allow yourselves to be used to destroy your own community.  He added. Come January 2025, I will make a significant public announcement that aligns with the wishes of the Mt. Kenya people. Together we will reclaim our dignity and overcome this betrayal and humiliation.  Gachagua further said. The Deputy President’s impeachment created a division among the Mt. Kenya region. Hundreds of Kenyans Join Kalonzo in ‘Ruto Must Go’ Chants

Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka on Saturday led Kenyans in chants against President William Ruto that resulted in protests within the stadium. While attending Governor Wavinya Ndeti’s football tournament in Machakos, Kalonzo led the residents who had gathered at the stadium to watch the tournament in chanting the “Ruto Must Go” slogan. Loud chants of the slogan could be heard in the whole stadium, with residents raising their hands in a sign of rejection while chanting the slogan. Governor Wavinya Ndeti also joined Kalonzo in the stadium as they chanted together with the residents. Kalonzo maintained his stance against the Kenya Kwanza government, reiterating that the president must go home.  According to Kalonzo, Ruto has been introducing punitive measures that are suppressing Kenyans. He moreover used the opportunity to lobby the youths to register for national identification cards and register as voters to vote out Ruto when the time comes. “Let the Gen Z youths be issued with IDs in January, and also register for voting so that we can vote against the president,” Kalonzo stated. Kalonzo did not forget to reiterate his rejection of President Ruto’s latest drive to vaccinate 22 million cattle and 55 million sheep and goats in the country.

President Ruto Announces Plans to Enhance Navy Capabilities for Better Service Delivery

The government announces plans to enhance support for the Kenya Navy to boost its ability to safeguard the country’s maritime boarders. This the Head of State spoke during the Kenya Navy’s 60th anniversary at the Kenya Navy Base, Mtongwe in Mombasa County. The President said that it would enhance include investing in advanced technologies and modernizing the navy’s fleet. Our singular focus will be on maintaining a high state of readiness to ensure that we respond swiftly and effectively to an increasingly dynamic security environment.  The Head of the Republic said. The strategic importance of the Kenya Navy cannot be overstated. It serves as a deterrent to external aggression, a safeguard of our sovereignty and a defender of our territorial integrity. He added. The President also said that the Navy being instrumental in unlocking Kenya’s immense untapped potential in the blue economy. He also appreciated the synergy between the navy and the Kenya Coast Guard Service, which formed the cornerstone of Kenya’s National Maritime Defense Strategy. Among those in the President’s 60th anniversary included Senate Speaker Amason Kingi, Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, Cabinet Secretaries John Mbadi, Salim Murya, Margaret Nyambura, Governors Abdulswamad Nassir, Fatuma Achani and MPs.

South Korea’s President Yoon Suspended, MPs Vote to Impeach Him

South Korea’s Members of Parliament have voted to impeach President Yoon. According to BBC, Since the MPs voted to impeach the Head of State, the Prime Minister was promoted to serve as the acting resident. This makes the constitutional court to have 6 months to decide whether to sustain his impeachment. Meanwhile, Yoon is expected to remain in office, but his Presidential powers suspended. 204MPs approved the motion to impeach Yoon. This was because he had declared martial law in the country. I am temporarily stopping my journey. I will do my best for the country till the end. Yoon said. The impeachment made Yoon the second conservative President to be impeached. The President won the presidential elections in 2022. President Yoon had filed for an appeal which stated that he had only acted out of burning patriotism to save the country from destruction and defiance to fight to the end. During his impeachment, hundreds of thousands of people gathered near the Parliament in jubilation as they waved banners as the stated that they had preserved the constitutional order. Since he has been impeached and suspended, his fate is yet to be declared by the court.

Kalonzo terms President Ruto’s Jamhuri day speech as Misleading

Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka publicly expressed discontent at President Ruto’s Jamhuri Day speech as he termed the speech as misleading. Kalonzo criticized president Ruto for allegedly focusing on the Kenya Kwanza Government’s achievements, instead of Kenyans’ concerns during his speech. “It is highly regrettable that instead of the solemn and reflective national address it is supposed to be, the 61st Jamhuri Day message today was a self-congratulatory ode of pipe dreams and misinformation by the president,” Kalonzo said. He further noted that Ruto’s speech was rigged with misinformation. “It did not reflect the vision of our forebearers who sacrificed to free us from the punishing and dehumanising yoke of colonialism.” According to Kalonzo, the Kenya Kwanza Government tended to reward those who showed loyalty to the regime. Recently Kalonzo had also criticized the government’s upcoming plan on mass vaccination of livestock across the country. He accused the President of planning to use dangerous vaccines from the United States,  However, Ruto while speaking at the Pastoralist Leadership Summit in Wajir County, dismissed his political adversary’s claims as false.
